Rabbit Vaccinations, Worming & Flystrike

Vaccinations (required)

Please bring proof of vaccinations on the day of drop-off.

Rabbits require 2 separate injections, given at least 3 weeks prior to boarding. These are:

  1. Nobivac RHD — combined Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease 1, given yearly.
  2. Filavac RHD2 — Viral Haemorrhagic Disease Strain 2, given yearly.

Worming (recommended)

As your rabbit(s) will be boarding in proximity to other rabbits, it is recommended that you worm them with Panacur Rabbit for 9 days prior to their stay. This protects and prevents potential illness. No prescription is required — you can buy online for as little as £3.50.

Flystrike check (recommended)

Both rabbits and guinea pigs are at risk of flystrike, particularly those living outdoors during the summer months. It's always good protocol to ensure your pet and its enclosure are clean. If flystrike is suspected, you or your vet can apply Flyguard prior to their stay.

The Burrows, the Boarding Room and all enclosures are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly between boarders, including regular cleaning during your pet's stay, using F10 products.
